How to Create or Set Up Windows Backup to Back Up Files in Windows 8
Many times we end up in a situation where our Hard disk get crashed or our files get corrupt. In such situation we always wonder that if we had the backup of our files it would be so easy to over come those situations. Today we are going to teach you how to create or setup windows backup to back up files in windows 8.
Step 1 : Open control panel and view the options in large or small icons view instead of category view and select the Windows 7 File recovery option.
Step 2 : Now click on setup backup option if you want to create a backup.
Step 3 : Now you need to wait for few seconds while the windows backup utility starts.
Step 4 : Now you need to select the location where you want to save the backup. You can save the backup on your local drives and later transfer it on other removable media like DVD or USB. You can even save the backup on an external hard drive or on network.
Step 5: After selecting the location click Next and you will get a prompt asking you to what do you want to backup? You have two options : Either let the windows choose the files which is also a recommended method or you can select the files yourself. After selecting the desired option click next.
Step 6: In case you chose the recommended method directly go to step 7. We chose the 2nd option and a new window will open asking you to select the files and drives whose backup you wish to create. Now select the desired files and click next.
Step 7 : Click on save settings and run backup button.
Now the system will start creating the backup. Once the backup is complete you can use the backup to restore all your files whenever needed.
