Ascend W2: Huawei Windows Phone 8 Next Flagship Official Press Photo Gets Leaked Online
With Samsung ready to flaunt Windows devices on June 20, the Chinese major Huawei might be ready to announce a sequel to W1 in the coming days. Reported by @Evleaks, the much awaited W2 has been revealed through a press shot. Back in April, the same handset was allegedly listed by a Chinese online retailer. Since then, the Huawei Ascend W2 is being tagged as company’s next Windows flagship handset. When the tech vendor announced the Ascend W1 back in January; it was loosely being targeted as yet another Windows phone. Huawei is still being known for super Android smartphones. Its Windows phone portfolio is still growing. The Finnish giant Nokia is the only maker, who managed to captivate audience with well -built Lumia devices. The Lumia 520 is the most visible Windows phone device on a planet. Samsung also tried to create a niche with Ativ S, a Windows Phone 8 powered smartphone, but unfortunately they couldn’t succeed. There is no known date as such when Huawei Ascend W2 gets officially announced. In the mean time, the internal specifications have been out on web. The Windows Phone 8 powered handset will have either 4.3-inch or 4.5-inch HD display, 1.5-GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor along with 1GB of RAM, an 8-mega pixels rear facing camera with Auto Focus and LED Flash , Full HD video recording, Wi-Fi, 3G, HSPA+, AGPS, and Bluetooth. The handset is expected to come with a 2000mAh battery inside. As per multiple reports, it should be priced under $300 (Rs. 16915), in the International market. Windows Phone, as a mobile OS is still struggling when compared to likes of Android and iOS. Currently the WP is the third most known mobile OS in the planet.
