Karbonn Titanium S6 with full HD screen to fall under sub-Rs 20,000 segment
It looks like the Karbonn Titanium S6 is the OEM’s latest candidate which aims to surpass Micromax’s upcoming Canvas 4, considering that the S5 had previously gone up against the A116. On the other hand, Karbonn has taken very few steps to divulge the phone’s specifications, leaving most of it to our imagination.
Pradeep Jain, the company’s managing director spoke exclusively to the folks over atNDTV Gadgets, indicating that the Titanium S6 will abstain from digging a deep hole in buyers’ pockets. He went on to add that more than just introducing affordable smartphones in the region, their motive is to put forth quality-driven products.
As for the components, all that the official revealed was that the Karbonn Titanium S6 is home to a full HD touch panel. Lying underneath this is a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with four cores which should toil towards delivering the speed required for multitasking.
Although he mentioned that Android Jelly Bean will be picked up as the preferred OS, he refrained from revealing the platform’s exact version. But we can take a wild guess and state that the Titanium S6 will be optimized for edition 4.2 if it wishes to brave the cut-throat competition.
No specific details were let out pertaining to the screen size. However, the Titanium S6 has probably taken a few tips from the Samsung Note series, since it is expected to tag along a stylus. This opens up possibilities for a multi-touch display which we believe might exceed the 5-inch benchmark considerably.
It is undecided as to when the Titanium S6 will be pulled out from the manufacturer’s foundries and shown around, but Pradeep Jain added that it will be made available at a price pegged below Rs 20,000, which may also be the bracket for the upcoming Micromax Canvas 4.
